{"id":1177,"date":"2018-04-22T18:29:30","date_gmt":"2018-04-22T23:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/blog\/?p=1177"},"modified":"2018-04-22T18:29:30","modified_gmt":"2018-04-22T23:29:30","slug":"creature-feature-2018-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/blog\/creature-feature-2018-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Creature Feature 2018 #2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a cool-ish (for the end of April) rather overcast day, but I was <em>Finally<\/em> able to get out the lake for the first time this season.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/23FgW3W\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP9504_0002_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nEverything had turned green in the meantime, and a lot of stuff was still blooming:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/GMd5m8\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP9381_0009_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/26nvWYm\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP9394_0008_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nThe Ospreys are back at their nest on the intake structure (you can just see the head above the nest):<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/26r3bqT\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP9442_0005_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nOf course, all the usual inhabitants are still out there, like these Geese (got a bit of a bow wave going there):<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/GMcwWV\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP9538_0001_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nAnd, of course, the obligatory Great Blue Heron picture. This one is notable because she&#8217;s coming <em>towards<\/em> me which, for some mysterious reason, is rather rare:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/JivkGY\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP9457_0004_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nGot a lot of pixels on that one.
