Being so early, I didn&#8217;t expect to get much in the way of wildlife pictures, but, well, below are the best of the 329 frames I came back with.<\/p>\n<p>The water sure seemed cold to me, but there were turtle heads poping up all over one area to eyeball me as I went by.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kK4K46\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4599_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nAnd there were a few out enjoying the early spring sun.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kK4K5Z\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4559_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nThis hawk was enjoying the sun <em>and<\/em> the wind:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kK4K3p\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4606_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nWith the rains we&#8217;ve had, the lake level was ample to allow me to get into some of my favorite nooks, cranies, backwaters, and feeder creeks. Yes, I was up a creek, but I had my paddle.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kJZZPt\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4806_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nThe year-rounders were here, of course, like these Mallards:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kK5fBa\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4518_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\n&#8230;just before they flew off&#8230;<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kK4K7s\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4520_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nAnd the Canada Geese.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kK5ftE\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4775_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nThe small birds are out and about too, like this Chickadee:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kJZZSz\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4742_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nNow if these guys can get along, as different as they are, why can&#8217;t we?<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2kJZZUD\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP4670_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nBy the way, that wasn&#8217;t the Obligatory Great Blue Heron picture.
