Turns out that was a good idea as the weather started getting convective right around noon.<\/p>\n<p><A HREF=\"https:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/blog\/creature-feature-2021-4\/\">Last time I was on the lake<\/A> I was surprised to see an Egret this time of year. Looks like that wasn&#8217;t the only one, or maybe this was the same one; birds do get around:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m55iD8\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5732_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nSpeaking of getting around:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m55iCw\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5740_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nThe usual residents were out and about:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m5cSye\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5749_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m59YnZ\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5788_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nThere were several swarms of these guys. These two got caught in a spider web, and there was no untangling them. Another one of those predator-prey relationships:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m58WdJ\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5758_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nThe water level was down a bit, but no so much that I couldn&#8217;t get into at least one of my little hangouts:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m5emse\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5804_tn.png\"><\/A><br \/>\nAnd, of course, the obligatory Great Blue Heron picture:<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2m55iDU\"><IMG SRC=\"\/media\/IMGP5721_tn.png\"><\/A><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I snuck out early this morning to beat the forecast thunderstorms.
