Ok, &#8220;little&#8221; is a relative term, I spend basically the whole day following trails.<\/p>\n<p>I like to get an early start.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phRjSr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/IMGP0399_tn.png\"><\/a><br \/>\nWe have lots of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audubon.org\/field-guide\/bird\/american-robin\">Robins<\/a> around this time of year (for those of you up North, this is where they go in the winter).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phK9PR\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/IMGP0445_tn.png\"><\/a><br \/>\nGetting pictures of birds up in the trees isn&#8217;t easy. This one got away.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phK9PF\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/IMGP0534_tn.png\"><\/a><br \/>\nHolly berries were widespread.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phK9Rp\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/PXL_20231123_151513442_tn.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nAfter walking through the woods for a couple hours, it&#8217;s a bit jarring to come across something like this.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phPD8F\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/PXL_20231123_170322400_tn.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nFortunately, they do give some warning.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phPDaV\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/PXL_20231123_170059426_tn.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nThe area between the lakes.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phPD8W\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/PXL_20231123_182334664_tn.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nA day doesn&#8217;t get much bluer than this (Lake Johnson is still low after maintenance earlier this year).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2phRjNy\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/media\/PXL_20231123_182906830_tn.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nIt was getting well into the afternoon by the time I got to the Beech Tree Trail, which I know has a <i>lot<\/i> of elevation change in a short distance, so, take the short route back, or go for it? What would <a href=\"https:\/\/pbskids.org\/molly\">Molly<\/a> do? I went for it.
