Is this what you&#8217;d call the crack of dawn? The clouds were certainly broken, if not cracked. (For those just joining us, you can click on the picture below to get to a higher-res version you can zoom into.)<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/vtts9jjGqjdN2mF89\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4065_0017_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nUp at the end of the lake, I found a Heron and an Egret hanging out, and they didn&#8217;t seem to mind my hanging out there too, as long as I kept my distance (or, really, <em>their<\/em> distance).<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/Q6EAtXDmrWFQNdhw5\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP3996_0022_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nIn fact, it surprised be a bit when the Egret decided to come over to my side of the lake. Maybe she didn&#8217;t get along with the Heron&#8230;<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/RFuSEt2SuwAWep5ZA\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4047_0019_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/iafyX2Swz1q21E966\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4053_0018_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nThese fawns were hanging out on the shore.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/Rsj6w5J4wi61WBJj9\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4088_0016_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nWhile other Herons were conducting tree-top operations.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/paixmrTXrot7JzyE9\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4114_0014_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nThis Eastern Phoebe was working the trees along the shore.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/aprZVVZc7JgeYPHUA\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4156_0013_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/4WuktB9o6foZug237\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4165_0010_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nOoh, make that <em>two<\/em> Eastern Phoebes.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/3wBEpdrh1JkrJM427\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4200_0003_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nMoving to the other end of the lake, I floated into this little backwater lagoon and, odd, I don&#8217;t remember there being a rock there&#8230;<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/af5Q95oYeVcPW5hV6\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4209_0005_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nOr two rocks &#8230; and why did that small rock seem to be pushing around the big one?<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/e3i1zjecQe7PqPM68\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4222_0004_tn.jpg\"><\/A><br \/>\nOh&#8230;.<br \/>\n<A HREF=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/qPwutBWSdnmEDtyQ7\"><IMG SRC=\"http:\/\/wildcorvid.org\/media\/IMGP4257_0003_tn.jpg\"><\/A><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I like to be out early.
